I have my macbook pro hooked up to a tv via composite cables, is there anyway to have boxee fullscreen on that screen while allowing me to navigate my mbp, or if not, is there anyway to have it just fullscreen there

i posted this for linux: http://forum.boxee.tv/showthread.php?t=287
maybe there is some way to hack it to work with automatior, or applescript?
or if you can install wmctrl under the x11-osx core?
i will look into it more, in the next few days.
(shot answer: not at the moment.)

i run boxee 0.9.20 on: ubuntu 9.10, windows xp sp3 (virtual machine), windows 7 and a neuros link hacked to all hell.
what super powers does a 'super mod' have? the 'super ban'... that, and laser vision.
that looks a bit complicated to me :/ i guess i'll just have to resort to having the second screen set on cloning the first screen instead of as a second desktop for now
no worries... i'll look into it.
i'm not as much of a mac-head, as i am with linux... but if it can be reasonably done... i'm sure i can sort something out...
ever since i made that post, i've wanted to figure out a good mac solution. thanks for the motivation!
i'll post up my results in a day, or so.

thanks, would appreciate it. in the meantime i'm going to try to figure out what you suggested in your ohter thread
turns out that you can do this in the built in settings XD under settings/appearance, go to look and feel, then under resolution, you can select XXXX by XXX (full screen #2) then restart boxee and sure enough, it is on the other screen, there is however, no way to use the other screen while doing this unless you tab out of full screen
oh... i'm sorry i should have been more clear.
that's the issues my hack resolves: the fact that you can only use boxee fullscreen, and not still use your desktop.
yeah, just correct fullscreen support on another monitor is possible using just the boxee settings... it's the 'using the other desktop' that is the issue.

right, i mean ideally i would like to be able to use the other desktop, but this is good enough for now.
this topic was just discussed a few days ago and now this feature is already in?
on my MBP i've connected my tv with the dvi-to-svideo, set tv-resolution to 1024x768 interlaced and switched boxee to screen #2
now i'm browsing the forums on the builtin display while playing a video with boxee on the tv
awesome!
