Exclamation When playback start, the audio start only after 3 seconds

When playback start, the audio start only after 2 or 3 seconds after video (the configuration is OK).
I try this with a simple video (300M) and one HD (4G).
also try uninstall my boxee (in Jaunty) and delete the config dir and reinstall with same result.

When menu open (I press ENTER or similar) the sound pause and return to work after 2 or 3 seconds... so, more delay...

I use pulseaudio (and work very fine with all applications) and nvidia drivers. XBMC work fine.

    gustavo@LMC:~$ glxinfo | grep direct
    direct rendering: Yes
    GL_EXT_depth_bounds_test, GL_EXT_direct_state_access,

    Driver:
    nvidia-glx-180 (180.44-0ubuntu1)

I think this logs not help, but he they are:

    gustavo@LMC:~$ /opt/boxee/Boxee

I have this same problem with Jaunty as a fresh install. I'm using pulse audio but my hardware is different than the OP's, still seems to be related.

    Default having same problem

The audio starts around 3 seconds after the beginning of the movie/show. Then the video will slow and the audio will catch up, then it will happen again...

Attached is my boxee log file.

Removing Pulseaudio solved the problem for me. That seems to be a trick a number of people have used before.

    Code:
    sudo rm /etc/X11/Xsession.d/70pulseaudio
    killall pulseaudio
    sudo apt-get remove pulseaudio
    sudo apt-get install esound
Saw that posted from agentlame somewhere on here. After doing that go into System > Prefs > Sound and change all those to ALSA.

Thanks clmbngbkng, you fixed my problem too. I can't believe it was a pulse audio issue again. I thought Ubuntu had fixed all that in this release and so I was willing to give it another shot. I'm hoping this will be a permanent fix even after I restart.

    Hi,
I got the same problem, but when I uninstall pulseaudio has seen in previous post, I have no sound in boxee or even xbmc and my video playback run like twice the normal speed.

Any idea on how to make it work with pulseaudio?

N.B. I configure the sound to use ALSA.
