Boxee dose not play from itune library

Ok my OSX is 10.5.6 leopard and itunes 8.1.1

Boxee build is Version: 0.9.11.5774 Apr 25 2009


What is happing is I loaded 157 albums though import CD in itunes so there CD that are the originals from the shops then all the CDs that had more than one CD to an album were put to gather in order to save space and CD cover was then given to the hole of each album using tune up.
Now all 157 play ok in itunes now go to your program there is two problems:

1) it saying I only got 29 albums?


2) click on music left side menu
3) Albums that now displays all the albums you have in itunes which is not displaying 157 albums
4) Now pick an album will take Natalie Imbruglia as an example click play that takes you into another screen were it has the following

and the cd cover is displayed now click play agin and see what happens to boxee it crashes and locks up on that page and no music is ever played and I have to press CMD , alt , esc to force quite the program and I have also tried playing a single song on its own with no cd cover artwork and gess what same thing happens.

If you load a CD into the CD slot and play it of the CD that works it play the CD but if then import the CD well gess what same problem agin all the other programs work just not music.




Please can you fix these issues as PLex works first time and get all my albums correct number.

simon can you send me your boxee logs so we can see what is happening and why it is freezing..the next version out should solve most of the issues you are having..

@applebox, you should know that boxee does not query the itunes db for song/album information.

rather, boxee gets it information from various internet based music services.

if you press the 'a' key in any screen boxee should open a menu with a list of media sources ad their recognition status. after which, you can select a source and get a list of files that have not been recognized by boxee. there will be an option to 'manually reconize' the media by entering the artist/album info.
