Default Intel 945GM Jaunty s-video out

    Hi,

I am running Jaunty at my 2.4ghz dual core laptop with intel 945gm graphics card. I have desktop effects disabled and even did the UXA tweak listed here: http://www.ubuntugeek.com/intel-grap...nty-users.html (I used method 2). When I am just using boxee on the laptop itself not attached to a TV it works fine, but as soon as I plug in the S-Video (or another monitor for that matter) Boxee performance degrades drastically!

I tried turning off the laptops display so only the TV-Out was on and its performance is still horrible. Anyone have any clues? Like I said the Boxee interface is as smooth as silk when its just the laptop itself but as soon as it is connected through S-Video it is like sucking sh*t through a straw.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

    Default Solved

For anyone wondering or experiencing the same issue I solved my own problem. I originally tried to just use the method of making the changes in xorg.conf, but it didn't fix the issue. I followed the guide here and it fixed all my issues:
    http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1130582

Note: I don't seem to need to use the fixmtrr myself it seems correct already and having an intel 945gm I also didn't need to use Option "Tiling" "false". I hope this info helps someone else!

On a interesting side note: I have never been able to play half-life 2 on my laptop but using that fix I can actually play half-life 2 at decent speeds.
