    Default Amazon video on demand?

Why not add amazon video on damand, It'll add tons of movies. ( You do have to pay for it though, but it would be a nice addition for people who don't want to have to buy a Roku to watch it on their TV.

I second this. My wife wants us to rent movies via AoD, but it seems pointless to buy a Roku when we have a working Ubuntu media PC already connected to the TV.

Anyone interested in this should vote here: http://getsatisfaction.com/boxee/top...ideo_on_demand

Boxee implements ideas that have a lot of votes.

    Default Amazon VOD

I would love to have this feature.

This hasn't been updated in a while, but has there been any official movement on support for this? The Getsatisfaction page says 'Under Consideration' but it's been like that for a while. Currently the only way to get my Amazon unbox stuff (which, by the way is also available anytime via VOD!) into Boxee is to use a tool like FairUse4VM which is questionable at best and I'd rather not do. Quite frankly I don't understand why I need to go to such lengths to use something I legitimately purchased anyway, but I don't want to stir that up...

Anyway, Amazon Unbox + VOD and their 'purchase once, watch anytime, anywhere you have a browser' mentality I really wouldn't care about DRM on the downloaded copies because at the end of the day it's a matter of convenience...plus I probably wouldn't have to download them at all. Amazon does own the cloud after all.

I agree that this sole feature would clinch the deal for me. I'm going to experiment with Boxee's existing apps like the browser and RSS feeds and see if there's ANY way to psuedo-implement Amazon's VoD into Boxee currently. If I have any luck I'll post here. Any suggestions and tips would be very welcomed, of course.

Yea! First post! Anyway, been lurking around here for a little bit and I agree with this completely. Been playing around w/ Boxee on my imac for a few days now (really digging it) and am very intrigued by the upcoming Boxee Box. If it had amazon video on demand it would totally seal the deal. Getting HQ downloads legitimately is key for me as I have no desire to play in the land of the torrents.

I would definitely pay to watch movies through Boxee if they supported this.

Default Amazon On demand... any progress

This would be a really great feature. I mostly use Amazon for VOD.
