Hulu and CBS a wee bit choppy at times

Hey first off, great job so far with this awesome product. Second, I have done a few things already to get hulu way better. For anybody with choppy pictures, check to see if your TV resolution option on ATV MENU is set to 1080p. If it is, lower it to 720 or something. That helped me a LOT.

But even though that helped most of hulu, some shows and all of cbs is still choppy (meaning fps is very low).

Are there any other fixes I could try? Thanks in advanced.

it will be great if you can try something:
- edit "~/Library/Application Support/BOXEE/UserData/guisettings.xml" and change <rendermethod> from 2 to 0.

please let me know if there is any change

so I did just try the rendermethod but it did not help at all

I thought it was my internet connection at first, but I have 6mps down right now and hulu is horrible. Boxee runs fine on my iMac, but on the ATV CBS and Hulu are unwatchable. Any timeframe for a fix?

Having the same issue, only on Hulu videos. Sometimes they will freeze after the first few seconds as well and all you hear is the audio.

I tried flipping the 2 to a 0 and it did not make the flash video sources play any better. Any other things to try?

Hey there, just adding XBMC with PlayOn works fine so I'm super glad its not a general ATV thing (since I just bought my ATV yesterday). I absolutly love the interface for Hulu you guys at Boxee have put together. Blows XBMC alone out of the water. Can't wait to use it!

Keep up the good work. Let me know if there are any settings you'd like me to try out. Anything I can do to help out.

Have been using Boxee on my ATV for about 4-5 months now and absolutely love it! Great idea and great execution. However, since updating to the latest alpha the Hulu feed is extremely slow and totally unwatchable. It also takes about 15 or more seconds to return to the previous menu after pressing the apple remote menu button..not sure why the system is so unresponsive..any ideas?
