Youtube RSS feed

I just installed Boxee yesterday and was checking it out. A while ago, I had setup a yahoo pipe that would create an RSS feed from the subscriptions from any user. Basically a video aggregator for a user's subscriptions. You can see it here: http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.in...bd295399fef809

If I run it against my account, I can get this rss feed: http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.ru...s&itemLimit=50

Boxee doesn't seem to like it but I'm not sure why. Since it's my pipe, I can change it to a format that is more Boxee friendly or create a clone specifically for Boxee. I read in another thread that Boxee may not like it since the embeded video is a .swf file, but I think I can change that to .flv and still get it to work. Since the other youtube feeds seem to be working, I expected this to work, but not so much.

Just looking for some input, so any would be appreciated.

Hi MacAnthony,
the kind of feed used by boxee is slightly different than the feed you have, take a look at http://developer.boxee.tv/rss-specification/, specially you should change your <link> tag to be a <media:content> tag (taking in account the possible issues named in the spec), and maybe something else I haven't seen.

I had a youtube feed that wasn't working with the myrss part of boxee. by burning the feed in feedburner and adding the smartcast, smartfeed and browser friendly functions it now works perfectly.

Just an update, it's seems it's the smartcast/itunes function that makes the feed work for Subscriptions at YouTube. So, thanks for this!
