    Exclamation How to add Torrent RSS for download

    Hey Guys,

    I added several .torrent rss feeds (btjunkie.org, demonoid) to my profile using the website of boxee.

    When I go to VIDEO -> INTERNET -> MY FEEDS

    I see all the added torrents rss feeds, but when I click 1 video I like I only get the option to PLAY instead of DOWNLOAD.

    If you press play, nothing will happen

    What am I doing wrong here?

    did you check the torrent checkbox on the boxee page when you added the feed?

    this is working for me.

    Will boxee automatically start downloading torrents for me though? or do i have to manually select download from the my feeds menu?

    Hi Ennsba,

    I used the following rss feeds:

    feed://www.torrentreactor.net/rss.php?cid=5 -> + torrent checkbox
    feed://static.demonoid.com/rss/1.xml -> + torrent checkbox

    When I go to VIDEO -> INTERNET -> MY FEEDS
    I see the torrentreactor feed and demonoid feed.

    I click on them and see all the movies. But when I click on 1 movie I only get the option 1: PLAY or 2: INFO

    I hoped the was an option DOWNLOAD

    I hope anybody has a solution for this?

    I'm running the MAC-OS version and I don't see any torrent checkbox in the my feeds list

    When I try to add the feed (with http:// instead of feed://) I see the list of movies. I can't download them only play them, which is probably too slow to wait for.

    -------- Update -----

    OK, I found the difference, I tried to do it from the boxee dashboard and you meant to add from the web site (My RSS).

    That's exactly what I have.

    You can add the feed on boxee.net in your profile

    But when you try to check the feed in Boxee on your mac/tv you can only download... which won't work at all because it's a torrent...

    There should be DOWNLOAD instead of PLAY

    I hope somebody can tell me how to do that

    Default "My Feeds" not dl'ing torrents

    I have the same problem, I am using the most current Boxee. I am using Feed My Torrent rss feeds and currently I do not get a download option, only play. I have deleted and re-added all my feeds via the My RSS Feeds section of the Boxee website, designating each feed as a torrent. Logged out of Boxee website. Rebooted atv (well, logged out of Boxee and logged back in via Launcher 3.0, I haven't unplugged the box as yet) same result: only a play option. This is new behavior as of the last two Alphas.

    I know I can add the torrent files directly to the ~/Library/Application Support/BOXEE/UserData/Torrents folder and the torrent will start.

    Overall, I am very happy with Boxee, but this is a little irritating.

    Default Bump

    I have the same problem as before, but now that I've added it, the Scene Release plug-in has the same behavior. However, the "Public Torrents" behave correctly, i.e., I get the option to download rather than play.

    Any luck getting this solved. I'm running the latest version (just updated tonight) on my macbook and I only get the play option as well. I added the feeds through boxee.tv and I see them now under App Box but when I select an item I can only Play or show info.

    I can't download anything at all. Even the public torrents.

    I tried to setup some settings but when I save I get the error: can't save rtorrent settings.

    Maybe I need to delete Boxee from my mac and do a clean install?!?
