Web Server

I have read through the forums trying to find an answer with no luck.

Is the web server on boxee for AppleTV working? I open up http://<ip>:8888 and I get a username/password box. I put in the password that I entered on Boxee/AppleTV but it still requires a username. Anybody know what this username might be?

Also, if it is working, does http://<ip>:8888/iphone also work?

i don't own an apple tv, so i can't say for sure if the sever works correctly... however, i do know that only http://[ip]:8888/iphone/ should work.

boxee does not have a 'default' web page, like xbmc. the only web control boxee currently offers is at /iphone/.

I tried the iPhone URL as well. It too requires a username. I can only assume that the appletv web control isn't working yet. I will dig around tomorrow around the web directory.

the default udername is xbox.. and I think the password is your users password.. that's how I got in to the iphone web remote app..

I used alot of time to find the user/password I found it on xbmc wiki...

But try that ^

I don't know where to file a bug but

going to the document root for the server, i.e.

http://appletv.local:8888/

is given a 302 redirect to

http://appletv.local:8888/default.asp

which yields no document.

This redirect should go to

http://appletv.local:8888/iphone/

And this should have a favicon so that it looks nifty when you save the bookmark to your home screen on the Trouser Mac.
