How do I get more friends on Boxee?

How do I get friends? I have four but it looks like I have to invite them. But I know there are 200,000 users of Boxee out there.

sign in website. click friends on left. fill in email address. click invite.

I understand this as well. But I have been unable to utilize the social aspects of Boxee, simply because I am unwilling to presume my email friends utilize the service. I would prefer to become friends through the network meet and socialize with those that watch video and listen to music similar to my own.

How do I meet friends?

Excellent Question.. The meetup seemed to hit on this quite a bit. The site should support this in the future but dont know when.
