We have just sent an update to itunes. It has a few bug fixes in it that should clear up any issues people are having with passwords and a few other odds and ends. The update should be available soon!
I sent a free copy to a user here on the forums, but I have not heard back yet. I guess I will send another!

I'm using XBMC Streamer on my iPod Touch and I can see the artists and albums from Boxee but none of the actual songs. I'm wondering if the problem is the web server because Boxee hangs when I set (or clear) the Web Server Password.

The first time I set it there was no problem. Then I cleared it because I found out XBMC Streamer didn't work with a password. I was able to blank the password, but when I selected Done to close the Web Server Password dialog Boxee hung. It didn't respond to the remote or mouse clicks. I had to stop Boxee using the task manager and then start it again. Since then I've tried setting and clearing it several times and the same thing happens. When I restart Boxee the password appears to have been set or cleared (whichever I was doing before it hung) but I'm suspicious because I see the artists and albums regardless of whether the password set on my iPod matches what Boxee should have or not.

Just to make sure there are no permissions problems I've made sure Boxee's web folder is set to Full Control for All Users and the firewall is turned off.

    Vurbal,

As I mentioned on our site, the password issue has been fixed in the new update. As far as Boxee crashing when you try to change passwords, that is definitely Boxee territory.

    Cheers,
    Matt

I don't think it should be a huge deal. Especially if you have the library organized properly. For example, you wouldn't want to have 10 albums by the same artist but for each album you spelled the name slightly different. That would add bloat to the "artist" node, making it insanely long. Also, you wouldn't want to "browse all songs" or something like that.

Sorry. Should have replied there. I decided to come here and see about getting help with the Boxee issue just to rule it out.

I won't pretend to know the ins and outs of iPhone restrictions, artificially imposed or otherwise, but is it even possible to properly stream video on the iPhone? I haven't given it an extensive tryout yet, but it started to load with a h264 mp4 file. Since the iPhone's iPod app doesn't support anything extensive, will the XBMC Streamer be able to use its own codecs for this?
