Default Setting Up Networked Media on ATV via Boxee. Helps!

Ok I have done my research. Read the support threads, but none of it is helping me at all here. I had boxee running local on a laptop hooked up to the tv and i watched my time capsule content without issues.

Now I just bought Atv to free up the laptop. I have boxee running. But i can not find my drive. I have tried turing on SMB, setting up a workgroup, etc but am really lost. I really would love some help.

Each time i return to my sys pref to set up the workgroup it is blank. When i return to Boxee media settings it also shows nothing. Could this be the problem.

I am out of my depth.

    Default Me too

I too was experiencing problems with networking to local shares. A reliable connection was very hard to find. Once I thought I had it and my movies and television windows were being populated, the connection would drop. It *could* be because I was using wireless.

To get around it I simply connected a 1TB external USB drive to the ATV and then just SFTP any files I download to it. It's one extra step and expense but well worth it in my opinion.
