Talking Streaming DVDs from Mac to Apple TV via Boxee?

I've looked around the forum but since no one else seems to be asking this question I'm assuming this can't be done. Can someone confirm that I can't stream my DVDs from my Mac to Apple TV via Boxee?

Currently I'm ripping DVDs to my Mac library and playing them on ATV via Boxee.

    Mac OS X 10.5.6
    Apple TV Ver 2.3.1

Cool Manually adding Netflix RSS Feed to Boxee?

    Answering my own question here....

The answer is get Handbrake and convert DVDs to MP4 files then iTunes will recognize...by recognizing, iTunes sends the movie to Apple TV where it is stored there... no streaming required.

    Next question is..

What is the VALID RSS Stream to use to manually load Netflix into Boxee? When I use Netflix RSS Feeds from the Netflix site I get 'INVALID FEED. (2)'.

Even easier is to put your files into a network shared drive/folder (SMB/Windows Share) and add the source.

I use a network storage drive (1TB Western Digital MyBook World Edition).

Then I can map that drive to boxee on my AppleTV, XBMC on my Xbox, and access it with any other number of devices on my network. Boxee then indexes the drive and streams the media over the network.

Just drag & drop your files to the network drive. You can even copy entire DVD's into a folder and it will be read/play, no need to convert with handbrake.

XBMC plays and lets you navigate the DVD menus... but Boxee does not (that I've seen so far)
