    How do you force windowed mode in the guisettings.xml file? I can't start full screen mode at all.

    To force fullscreen or windowed mode create advancedsettings.xml in ~/.boxee/UserData and insert:

    <advancedsettings>
    <fullscreen>true</fullscreen>
    </advancedsettings>
