Default tv.boxee.helper eating up CPU! How do I uninstall??

I have recently noticed that a process called syslogd is eating up almost all of my cpu. It was recommended that I open console and check the logs to see what's showing up, it would be obvious what's using up all the resources. Below is a sample of what system.log is reporting.

I have used app zapper to uninstall boxee and have restarted my computer but I still see remnants of boxee using up my processor. PLEASE let me know where this file is located so that I can delete it or otherwise destroy this process.

well - the uninstall left out the "boxee helper" and this is what causing those messages.
to remove the boxee helper service either:
    - install boxee. go to "settings->system->apple remote" and uncheck "always running"
then if you wish you can uninstall it

    OR
    - open terminal and enter the following command:
    launchctl unload ~/Library/LaunchAgents/tv.boxee.helper.plist

    and then:

    /bin/rm ~/Library/LaunchAgents/tv.boxee.helper.plist

that should also take care of the problem.

btw - 3 lines in syslogd every 10 seconds is not the cause for it taking 100% cpu. so there maybe something else going on on your machine.

    best regards.
