Any idea if Boxee will play MLB.TV games?
These are just web pages with a video stream?

    thank you in advance

If you have an ATV I don't see how boxee can support MLB.tv seeing that the streams are through silverlight. If anyone can figure this out and get MLB.tv it would make boxee the greatest thing ever.... yea I'm a Red Sox fan living on the west coast.... go Sox!

I love Apple tv .. but I want to stream net flicks...
hence I have a mac mini on order..

I guess that I can just stream the games with a firefox?

but boxee and MLB were made for each other.

I am west coast tiger fan... GO TIGERS

The new version of the MLB.TV player for this season is Flash. It should be very possible to playback in boxee on the ATV. Not sure what the quality will be like... but MLB.TV does offer multiple bitrates for their streams.

Pleeeease.... mlb.tv on boxee would be perfect.

But, I guess the player mlb.tv uses is still in beta... Maybe once the season starts someone will create an app or plugin. Until then it's going to be annoying having to open up a browser window, login, ect.

It shouldn't be hard. The MLB flash player has links within it to all the games...Boxee would just need to get it to display.

In our home we get like 12 channels and the D-Backs just moved to some cable network. We didn't want to expand our cable package because we've been more interested in picking streaming content from the internet. We have d-backs, white sox, and yankees fans all living in the house and wanted to get mlb.tv this season, but only if we have a way to send it to the TV set downstairs. I can't really speak for anybody else here, but I just couldn't watch an entire game sitting in front of my computer.

If you live in D-backs country the games will be blacked out on MLBTV, sucks but 100% true. The exclusive deals on cable networks are take it or leave it.

If you live in Arizona you should get Fox Sports AZ on basic cable, which is where all the D-Backs games should be. And actually the blackout rule is not 100% true because I got the Rangers and Astros games today and I am deep in Texas/Houston territory. However, It is probobly just a bug. MLB.TV has been having alot of them for opening day, and I am sure the stupid blackout map will be in full effect soon, if not already.
