    Question Windows 7 issues

    Hi guys,
I know Boxee isn't officially supported on Windows 7 but I read some of you were able to run it.
After installing Boxee and trying to run it I get an error massage: "Open GL version 1.4 or higher is required to run Boxee. Current version is: 1.1"
Tried upgrading my graphic card drivers using Windows 7, it said I have the latest drivers.

    OS: Windows 7 RC1 Build 7057
Boxee version: Boxee for windows 0.9.9.5324
    Laptop: Acer Aspire one
    Graphic card:Mobile Intel(R) 945 Express Chipset Family (WDDM 1.0).

    I want my Boxee back!
    Any ideas?

The WDDM (default windows) drivers don't seem to work properly with openGL, either you'll have to find some drivers supplied by intel or wait till its fixed.

With the Nvidia cards the WDM 1.1 drivers are what fixed my problem. Maybe MS will release updated drivers for the intel chipset.

I didn't find any Intel drivers for Win 7, and the Vista drivers doesn't work. On XP Boxee works perfectly, does anyone knows a work around for installing the XP drivers on Win 7?

Win 7 is compatible with Vista drivers, but the installers do a Windows version check which prevents you from installing them.

Try the following. Download the executable installer version of the latest Vista off the Intel site at http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Deta...rsion&lang=eng.

Right click on the .exe file and select Troubleshoot Compatibility.

Click on Save these settings, and close the wizard when it is finished, and then continue with the Intel driver install.

Reboot and you should be working.

I should warn you though, the current version of Boxee seems to have some quality issues with certain flash video content, and these drivers and chipset. Also, on my laptop, local video, Apple Trailers, and YouTube, cause Boxee to crash after the clip ends, or is stopped.

    It works, Thank you!
Thanks for the warning, i'm currently still setting up the system and working around some problems so I won't have a chance to watch anything in the next few hours/days (depends how much time it will take..).

Plus, I must say the new Windows Media Center ROCKS! I might ditch SageTV, specially cause I can start Boxee directly from the Media Center.
