    Default 3TB hard drive (partitioned into 2TB and 1TB partitions). Boxee sees no files in 1TB.

    I have a 3TB WD external USB hard drive connected directly to the Boxee box. Boxee sees both partitions just fine. I can browse and watch files stored on the 2TB partition. However, when trying to view files in the 1TB partition I get "error no files in source".

    I get this error when browsing the local files, and when trying to add sources for the 1TB partition. It keeps saying the source has no files even though the partition is not empty. I can connect the external drive to any computer and view files on each partition just fine.

    Why would Boxee not be able to see files on one of the partitions but can see files on the other partition just fine?

    Boxee has known problems with 3TB drives, due to missing support for these in the device drivers.
    Boxee can only use partitions correctly if located below the 2TiB limit.

    NB: 2TiB == 2*2^40 == appx 2.199*10^12, as opposed to 2TB as specified by drive makers == 2*10^12

    Your 1TB partition probably has the sectors defining the partition and its root directory below that limit, but the file data sectors above it.

    You may want to consider having that drive connected to a PC instead, and let Boxee access the drive through SMB protocol on a LAN.
    This way the BBox is not involved in the physical access of the drive, which is instead handled entirely by the PC.
    That's how my own BBox accesses most of my media files.

    Best regards: Ronald

    I did they same. Bought a USB box that internal hard drives plug into and then connected it directly to me Router via the usb media port and it reads both partitions perfectly.
