Maybe I have misunderstood but doesn't boxee pay a subscription to IMDb that enables us to get the covers and information? If they are discontinuing then will that mean that will stop working?

From the blog.**UPDATE – To be clear your Boxee Box will continue to function as it does today. After the Flash Update, maintenance mode simply means that we won’t be releasing any major updates. TV show and movie library, artwork look-up, channel listings data for Live TV users, etc. will all continue to be provided by Boxee.
