Default iPad iOS6 playback of "My Media" problem

-iPad ("new" iPad, 3rd gen) running iOS6
    -Running Boxee Media Manager
-Boxee for iPad app locates "MyMedia" movie files on my NAS, no problem.
-However, the playback of these files (.avi. mkv .mp4) stops/sticks after a few seconds.
-In addition, the loading of the file (blue circular spinning indicator) takes a longer than usual (before the iOS6 update).
-I have shut-down/restarted the iPad and relaunched the app. Movies still cannot play beyond a few seconds, then it stops. I hit the stop button, then the start button (in the player) movie then runs a few seconds and stops.
-Prior to iOS6 update, all files played with no problem (these are not new files).
-The "Featured" content plays fine with no delays, no problem.

    ~Thank you for your help

It may be that the Boxee iPad app will need to be updated to work well on iOS6. You may want to contact technical support directly about this (see first link below).

Default RESPONSE FROM BOXEE re: Support Request #58031

Here is the response I received from Boxee:

"We are aware of issues with the new IOS6 and looking to see if we can fix this in the future. Sorry for the inconvenience."

Unhappy Boxee response to iOS6 issue

This response indicates to me that this bug is not a high priority for Boxee. Too bad, the Boxee iPad app is useless to me now. Disappointing, seems like they would be interested in supporting their app on one of the most popular tablet devices.

Angry Conspiracy to get us on Cloudee ?!

I signed up for a Cloudee acct and uploaded a video.
Via the Cloudee iPhone app, I was able to play video on my devices (iPhone and iPad) that have iOS6.

Did Boxee intentionally break the Boxee iPad App MyMedia playback (iOS6) to get us on their cloud platform?

Sux and .... still ... why is Boxee not fixing the iPad app?

First, Boxee didn't "break" anything -- more accurately, the changes in iOS6 broke the Boxee app.

Second, iOS 6 has barely been out a week, you're probably going to have to be a little more patient.

Last but not least, if all you're looking for is playback of your local content on your iOS devices, you could use AirVideo, Emit (I think they have an iOS app), or even Plex.

Surely, I would think a company like Boxee has a competent development process that will QA a well known firmware change coming from Apple. iOS6 beta has been available to developers for many months.

I appreciate your comments and the suggestions for other media players. It is just that I have invested a lot of my effort and time to the Boxee platform and would like them to continue to improve their product and develop other product offerings and succeed as a company.

    Cheers!

They're a pretty small company and it's likely they have higher priorities at the moment.

Hmm. Very strange. I'm not having any problems at all playing any of my mk4 (720P & 1080P Bluray) files on same equipment as MissBoxee:

-iPad ("new" iPad, 3rd gen) running iOS6
-Running Boxee Media Manager (on 2011 MacBook PRO)
    -Storage is Synology NAS

    Plays on iPad Boxee
And AirPlay streaming from iPad/to Boxee Box works excellent as well.

I do not have any loading delay (or blue circular spinning indicator) as you mentioned. Hope this helps.
