newbie subtitle question

Hi

Like the the title says i am a newbie and just have my boxee box.
But i don't understand a part of the subtitles function , did a lot Google search on this forum but did not find the complete answer.
It's about the 4 icons , or 2 icons when i am in navi-x.
When i play local files from my HD that has been scanned all the 4 icons show up and i am able to go to the subtitle menu and search for alternative subs and it find subs ( although there is no need for it because there are already subs there , but it show that the function is working )
But when i play a movie from navi-x i was never able to see more than 2 icons and the globe and the info icon is always missing ( and i tried a lot of movies from different sources ).
Am i missing something here ?? is there a setting in navi-x that i did not found yet or is this a common problem.
