Error when creating patchstick

I have a Macbook Pro and when I run ATV Usb Creator I always get this error:

Unable to mount recovery: GetMasterBlock: Error 13 opening /dev/rdisk1s2
GetMasterBlock: Error 13 opening /dev/rdisk1s2
mount_hfs: Permission denied
install_recovery failed
Failed! (0:00:58)

Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

i don't know much about mac's but i hear they're similar to linux....
have you tried launching "ATV Usb Creator" w/ super user permissions?

try this:

1 plug in your usb stick FIRST before doing anything
2 open the terminal and type: sudo atvusb-creator
3 you should then be prompted to enter your password.
if this works your will be able to launch the program with SU permissions and it should work.

its your flash drive. try another one. In my signature is a link to a list of drives that work.
