Default Problems with TV shows in .iso format

    Hi everyone,

I have had significant trouble getting TV shows to show up properly, or at all using .vob for DVDs and .ISO for Blurays. I think the problem is that one disc may have multiple episodes versus one and I just don't have the naming convention down.

Here is what I have tried unsuccessfully:

    Fringe.S01E01-06.ISO
    Fringeseason1disc1.ISO

As to the .vob rip, I am not sure what to rename...

Oh yeah, one really weird thing is that if I go to Shows on the menu, I can see my files properly...Fringe, Band of Brothers, etc. However, if I select them, I get a prompt to play them on Vudu versus from my drives...it knows that those files are on my drive, but I can't find where to play them.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance,

    CN

I would convert them to single files. Don't know how you feel about that.

You could use http://makemkv.com/ - you feed it your image file and it analyzes it for a moment and shows you video material is in there, you chose which ones to extract and click a button and it spits out mkv files at your chosen destination.

These files are copied straight out of the image so there is no quality degradation and it will keep subtitles etc. You will lose the fancy menus, but some people consider that a huge bonus.

Boxee hasn't ever supported multiple episodes per file (.iso) or per vob.

This was just discussed earlier this week, see this thread: http://forums.boxee.tv/showthread.php?t=63587 for additional information.
