    Default wireless keyboard disrupts bootup

Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem or fopund any work around for this... i recently purchased a logitech wireless keyboard mouse combo for use with my BB as i find it's much faster to navigate the 10 foot ui with. (it's the kind with the new 'unifying" dongle ) however when i try to reboot my BB it will hang at the initial grey loading screen until i shut down the box remove the dongle and restart the box again. only the will the BB bootup completely... i know a lot of people use after market remotes and keyboards with the BB like the rii mini surely this isn't normal is it?

I've tried a few different wireless K/B-Mouse combos and the Rii remote in the past and never experienced the issue you describe -- have you tried the combos USB dongle in the other USB port of your BBox?

i have, I've also tried powering on the box with the keyboard off, power cycling the box. im beginning to think it has something to do with new uninfying usb 'protocal' vs outdated kernel/ drivers.

You may be right - I don't have any experience with this new 'unify' technology of Logitech's, but I have had a Logitech wireless mouse, track ball, number pad and keyboard functioning without issue while connected to my BBox(s) via a USB 2.4 RF dongle

I doubt this would make any difference, but you might want to consider using a USB extension cable to keep your USB dongle a short distance away from the BBox, if by chance it's close proximity may be causing the problem
