    Unhappy Netflix App Not Working

    Hello,
    I just purchased a Boxee Box today (August 22, 2012), and the Netflix app will not open. I have had a Netflix subscription since January 2012.

    Nothing happens. When I click on the dedicated Netflix button on the remote, it asks if I want to launch the Netflix app. Boxee says it is downloading, and then installing the app. After that, nothing happens. The app does not open up, and it never asks me to login to my Netflix account.

    I have erased the Netflix data in Boxee and started over, but had the same results.

    At this point, you need to contact technical support. I'd start with Netflix customer support (phone only) or Boxee technical support (see first link below).

    Instead of waiting for support, you might try a cold boot of the Boxee Box, pull the plug on the back for 10-20 seconds, let it reboot and try again. This time, don't use the button on your remote but instead find Netflix in apps and then launch. If that doesn't work I guess you have to call Netflix, which is lame since this is supposed to be supported on a new Boxee Box and sending new users to another company for support is not cool. I hope it all works out for you.

    Except that many of the problems with Netflix are because of... Netflix. Sometimes the account info gets messed up, etc.

    No I'm sure. No offense meant but today it's easier to not call support in many cases. I'm sure in this case this user has to call though, and that alone still sucks since he just got the unit. I see your point though.

    Go to setting, services and delete netflix data. Go back to the netflix app and enter your email address and password again. Hope this help. Good luck.
