Major Box problem!

I haven't been using my Boxee Box for quite some time (about 4 months) and when I finally got back home I immediately plugged in my box and wanted to see some of my shows and movies.
First I was baffled.. NO updates! How's that possible? There's a myriad of bugs, why aren't they getting fixed. Anyway...

My remote control doesn't work. Fine I thought, I need to pair it with my box. I tried. No luck there.. Then I rushed to the store to get a new battery. After trying pairing the remote and the box with the new battery I decided I'm defeated.. What should I DO!?

And that's not my biggest issue since I have an iPhone, I'll just use that one as a remote for now...
I can't remember the box froze every time the screensaver got on. If I'm lucky the screensaver's on and the box will freeze when I try to use it. But mostly it freeze when the screensaver comes on.

So my question what should I do? I'm getting tired of rebooting the box in the middle of a show or something if I paused for some reason... This is my last resort. I tried to get in touch with the boxee crew on twitter, but they seem to ignore people with problems and just answering people with happy comments... those lucky bastards!

So I should not keep my hopes up? Well that sucks. I've had this box since January and I thought I was going to use it for at least a couple of years... :/

Turn off the Box.
Remove the power cord (to reset the transceiver)
Wait about 15s
Re-attach power cord
Turn on the Box.

If remote works at this point, you should be fine. If it doesn't, try pairing it again.

I had the exact same issue on boxee remote... tried everything you name it....
and finally it worked.
unplug your boxee for 1 full day / remove the battery from your remote for 1 full day >> next day it worked (I also tried pairing it, while it was starting up and not sure if that helped)
