I have allot of problems with Boxee Box

1.First of all, I can't turn it off..... every time I press the Shut Down, the screen turn black but the Boxee Box it self stay on!
2.Every Time I put it into sleep mode, when I come back it's can't find the files from my computer.
I'll explain, I watch a series...
putting the Boxee Box to sleep..
the next day Wake the Boxee Box and press the PC library...
and he just keep thinking forever and nothing happens!!!!!!!

only when i restart the Boxee I can see the files again

3. sometimes it's just getting stuck in middle of applications. Not Responding..

1. This is a known issue; it may possibly be related to open network connections not closing, and preventing the Box from shutting down. You can hold down the power button on the Box for several seconds and it should shut down safely.

2. Don't use sleep mode; it doesn't save you any power.

3. You might want to consider doing a factory restore and re-applying the latest firmware manually from a thumbdrive

Easiest way to shut down the Boxee Box when not responding is to pull the plug on the back and wait 10 seconds or so. Many Boxee Box users are used to this.

I agree you might want to factory restore or install from USB, just be prepared this might not fix it. All these manual steps to fix it, I would go with just pulling the plug on the back vs USB firmware update which you should be on already.

Using the power button on the Box is better for the hardware than just pulling the plug from the outlet... (doing the latter is usually advised when the box is already powered off and you need to reset the transceiver for the remote and other hard reset situations).

You can disable sleep mode but the Boxee Box seems happiest if you shut it down when you're not using it.

Team Boxee has a long history of prioritizing new features and fluff over fixing basic functionality to the detriment of their reputation and future success.
