Boxee and 10 bit mkv

I got Boxee to wireless stream my downloaded vids to my bedroom.
I like Anime and download quite a few.
A few months ago, a lot of anime' vids started coming i 10 bit mkv. My LG and Sony media players would not play the 10 bit.
I read that Boxee played everything that was thrown at it.
Well, MOST is A-OK, even over a wireless N.
But, it will not play 10 bit vids, although the subtitles and audio plays, no video.
I use VLC on my PC's, and it now plays 10 bit. It had to be updates to do so.
Can Boxee be made to play 10 bit, or am I going to have to recode 100's of 10 bit vids to 8 bit?
I assume getting Boxee to play 10 bit would at LEAST require a firmware update. Anything like that planned?

Unfortunately, it's a hardware limitation of the Boxee Box and can't be fixed ever.
