this is great news....it's a strong play that forces the hands of developers to get rid of flash and move to HTML5...now if Adobe will just stop distributing it for the desktop platform...

It is great news. Put the nail in the coffin though. Desktop use doesn't match mobile demand, and remember the iVariety has never had flash. As far as the Boxee Box it no longer supports HBO Go or Max Go and others due to the Consumer Electronics last version not being supported.
Flash is dead people, so please stop using it - that includes HBO GO, and MAX GO.
Flash itself is moving onto HTLM5 (although it's continuing desktop Flash) but do you think this move will force app designers and major websites to make the switch?

Sadly I think the content providers will just create apps for android that work on it and Boxee will still be left with no online content.
For instance 4od is on everything and you can even get it to work on Boxee through the ps3 page in the browser but there is no longer an app for boxee and its shows don't appear in the library.

Is this a good thing for Boxee Box? It might be if there was still developing going on, but it seems to have been abandoned for cloud stuff for Apple fans.
