    Default BEST Boxee remote replacement

So what does everyone think is the best replacement for the Boxee remote?

Does anyone know if the Motorola NYXboard Hybrid (https://www.pulse-eight.com/store/pr...-for-xbmc.aspx) remote works as a replacement without needing any add-ons?

If the Motorola is 2.4 RF then it should work

You might want to check out the Rii remote - many forum members use the Rii - and it should be about half the price of the Motorola on Amazon.com

Any remote that's not the Boxee remote will require a "dongle" as the receiver, inserted in one of Boxee's USB ports. It's not clear from the link you posted if a dongle comes with that remote or not; if not you'll have to purchase one separately.

Yeah, the specs for the Motorola are pretty vague but there's mention of a USB dongle in a couple of the reviews

I should also mention the Rii is back-lit and has a track pad

Thank you so much for all that great information!

Is this (http://www.amazon.com/OrientEX-Wirel...words=rii+mini) the Rii that the forum members like so much?

That's a new version (the backside has that pad that isn't available in the older versions).

Different name but seems to be identical to the one I bought ages ago: http://www.amazon.com/FAVI-Entertain...dp/B003UE52ME/

That older model seems perfect. Cheap too. I just ordered one from the link you provided. Thanks so much for all the help!
