    Default Multi episodes on one iso disc ?

    haven.jpgHi'

    I just bought my boxee so i am a "newbee".
    I have spend time reading topics in this forum but i am still not 100% if there is a solution for my "problem".
    well here goes:
    i have a tv show serie with more episodes on one disc, "haven (2010)"
    i am trying to have boxee to show me all the episodes on that disc but it only shows me the first episodes.
    I have tried Ember media manager and found out that if i called my iso file
    haven.s01.e01-02-03-04.(2010).iso
    then ember found the 4 episodes from the one disc and made an NFO file, but then
    when i go into the boxee box, and search for new tv shows, it just show one episode.???
    Then i tried to manually load from the NFO file within boxee but again not more than one episode.
    I think i saw more episodes the other day but cant remember what i did, called the file !
    So is there an solution to fix this at the moment ?
    (i dont want to use MakeMKV_v1.7.6)
    i use firmware 1.5.1.23735

    Boxee doesn't support identifying multiple episodes in one file.

    You can either re-rip to one file for one episode or you can hunt through this thread to see if there are any other approaches: http://forums.boxee.tv/showthread.php?t=55560

    This is one of the annoying things that I wish they would have fixed. To view all the titles on the disc you have to navigate to the file location and select "Browse". Then it shows you a list of all the titles on the disc. Although it only shows them by time length, not by title. But it would have been nice if they could have given us access to this "Browse" feature after the disc has been imported into the data base. Then there would be no reason to navigate to the file location after a title is in the data base.

    Default Multi episodes on one iso disc ?

    Thanks for your answers and what i could read from the other thread, there is still no easy solution
    to this "problem".

    Well i can hope that perhaps in a future firmware update this would be possible to do !

    I got it pretty much working okay:
    - put all the ISO-files for one series in the same directory
    - name each ISO like this: SeriesName.year.S01E01-04.ISO
    (if the first 4 episodes are on this disc)

    So it would look like this now:
    \SeriesName\SeriesName.year.S01E01-04.ISO
    \SeriesName\SeriesName.year.S01E05-08.ISO
    \SeriesName\SeriesName.year.S01E09-12.ISO

    My Boxee now recognises the series as such. Only flaw in this, is that the episodes won't be listed as such, but each disc will be listed as if it were the first episode on that disc.
    List above will be shown as:
    SeriesName, season 01
    - episode 1
    - episode 5
    - episode 9
    With description and picture of that episode.

    Choosing an episode in that list will give you the menu of the disc where you can choose whichever episode you want to watch.
    Watching one episode on a disk, will have Boxee showing the disc as watched, so you gotta remember yourself which episode you're supposed to watch.

    Works fine for me!

    Hi MF28,

    Thanks for your post, well what i have done is naming the 4 iso disc i have like this:
    Haven.(2010).s01e01.iso
    Haven.(2010).s01e05.iso
    Haven.(2010).s01e08.iso
    Haven.(2010).s01e11.iso
    and that gives me this result (pls see attached photo)
    Haven mix iso.jpg

    Is this the same result you get or did i miss something ?

    Yes, based on that naming approach, that's what you will get on the episodes screen.

    Default Another option.

    I recently developed my own solution to this problem. My media is stored on a linux server and accessed over SMB. Using the tv series Firefly (2002) as an example. This is what I have:
    Code:
    $ ls -gGh
    -rw-rw-r-- 1 7.4G Aug 26  2011 Firefly-2002-d1.master
    -rw-rw-r-- 1 7.4G Jun 27  2010 Firefly-2002-d2.master
    -rw-rw-r-- 1 7.4G Jun 27  2010 Firefly-2002-d3.master
    -rw-rw-r-- 1 7.6G Jun 27  2010 Firefly-2002-d4.master
    lrwxrwxrwx 1   22 Sep  6 20:55 Firefly.2002.S01E01.iso -> Firefly-2002-d1.master
    lrwxrwxrwx 1   22 Sep  6 20:55 Firefly.2002.S01E02.iso -> Firefly-2002-d1.master
    lrwxrwxrwx 1   22 Sep  6 20:55 Firefly.2002.S01E03.iso -> Firefly-2002-d1.master
    lrwxrwxrwx 1   22 Sep  6 20:55 Firefly.2002.S01E04.iso -> Firefly-2002-d2.master
    lrwxrwxrwx 1   22 Sep  6 20:55 Firefly.2002.S01E05.iso -> Firefly-2002-d2.master
    lrwxrwxrwx 1   22 Sep  6 20:55 Firefly.2002.S01E06.iso -> Firefly-2002-d2.master
    lrwxrwxrwx 1   22 Sep  6 20:55 Firefly.2002.S01E07.iso -> Firefly-2002-d2.master
    lrwxrwxrwx 1   22 Sep  6 20:56 Firefly.2002.S01E08.iso -> Firefly-2002-d3.master
    lrwxrwxrwx 1   22 Sep  6 20:56 Firefly.2002.S01E09.iso -> Firefly-2002-d3.master
    lrwxrwxrwx 1   22 Sep  6 20:56 Firefly.2002.S01E10.iso -> Firefly-2002-d3.master
    lrwxrwxrwx 1   22 Sep  6 20:56 Firefly.2002.S01E11.iso -> Firefly-2002-d3.master
    lrwxrwxrwx 1   22 Sep  6 20:56 Firefly.2002.S01E12.iso -> Firefly-2002-d4.master
    lrwxrwxrwx 1   22 Sep  6 20:56 Firefly.2002.S01E13.iso -> Firefly-2002-d4.master
    lrwxrwxrwx 1   22 Sep  6 20:56 Firefly.2002.S01E14.iso -> Firefly-2002-d4.master
    The .master files are the dvd rips. The .iso files point to the .masterfile that contains that episode. Boxee shows the episodes, and if I click on one it fires up the dvd rip containing that episode.
