Default Remote control not working (will not pair tried new batteries and new remote control)

    Hey folks..

I thought my old remote control was broken, and had D-Link mail me a new one.
The thing is, that the remote control wan't pair with the Boxee Box, I'd tried it 20 times now, no luck, not the new or the old remote will work, and not with new or old batteries.

What to do? (I can make it work with iPhone, but that isn't sufficient :-( )

Try unplugging the power to the Boxee and plugging it back in.

I had the same issue recently. I unplugged the boxee at first which did not work for me. I ended up unplugging everything from the boxee, power, hdmi and live TV, and let the boxee sit for 15 minutes or so. Plugged everything back in, fired it up and the remote worked again. Hope this helps.

Disconnect power from the Boxee Box for a 1/2 minute. Plug back in and try the remote pairing routine again.

Make sure the battery in the remote was inserted UPSIDE-DOWN. Upside-down is the correct orientation for the battery.
