Angry boxeebox cant play any XVID videos with sync

Since the latest upgrade version. My boxee box can't play any SD xvid videos or clips. Doesn't matter if it's a 600mb standard axxo movie, or a 90mb robot chicken episode, the audio and visuals drop their sync from the first second. All matroska containers work fine, 720 and 1080 works like a charm. But the SD stuff is unwatchable. I usually play them through a laptop connected to the pc these days.

But what the hell! my 2 year old phone can play these clips without problems. I've seen some jira tickets for similar problems but everything seems a tad off. and they're mostly closed.

I've just done a full factory reset with update to the latest firmware from usb, still the same problem. Does anyone have this problem or is it only me?

adding info from a robot chicken episode:

    The problem is "Packed bitstream".

You can try unpacking it using something like avidemux @ http://fixounet.free.fr/avidemux/ and it should play fine.

Unpacking is very quick by the way if you have a decent CPU (Intel i3 or newer or at least a dual core AMD CPU) and hard disk (at least a 7200rpm SATA driver or SSD).

The Boxee Box devs clam it was fixed: http://jira.boxee.tv/browse/BOXEE-7693

But I am having the same issue as you still so I'd have to say it's NOT fixed.

And nope, never worked right for me. I don't watch too many XviD videos these days so not an issue really for me.
