Amazon video app supports AirPlay, but fails

So I recently downloaded the Amazon video app for my iPad and while playing a video I found that the little airplay button is available, and when I try to stream the video to my Boxee it throws an error saying "either the format is not supported or the file is corrupted "

Does it not truly support AirPlay or can I get this to work?

Most custom iOS video players (Amazon, Hulu, HBO Go etc) won't work with AirPlay, even to Apple devices. I've read elsewhere that Amazon and AirPlay don't work at all.
