Default Loading error (can't find local source anymore)

Been running a WD Elements 2.0 TB usb-drive connected directly into the BB on usb-port 1 for about 6 months now. Everything has worked flawless until this afternoon when all of a sudden the BB can't find my local source anymore. If I go to the list of sources, I have everything there with NFS, SMB etc but not Local (and not something named after the drive itself like Elements or something). This drive has it's own power cord

Tried connecting the drive to usb-port 2 without luck. Even tried changing to another outlet in the wall and it

Removed the disc and tried plugging in a WD Elements 500 GB drive which is solely powered by USB and it works like a charm on both ports in the BB.

Took my 2TB disc and put it in the computer (Win Vista) and shared it through my network and was able to access it and playback files without trouble through the SMB source function. While connected to the cpu, I made sure that the disc fully enables users to read/write and all the other properties that comes along with the disc management through Windows.

When the 2TB disc was connected to the BB and I couldn't get the local source to show like stated above, I detached the drive and the usb prompting the BB to say "Removable disc detached". Tried plugging it in again to prompt "Removable disc attached" but it didn't work.

Tried booting the BB without the usb attached and then when fully booted, attach the USB to prompt "Removable disc attached". Didn't work...

Running the latest firmware for BB, the 1.5.1 something something. I've made sure it's the latest full version (no beta).

Both discs mentioned above are factory pre-formatted with NTFS

Am I missing an obvious solution here or shuld I be going crazy?
