    Default Boxee and Airtime

When I stream a video (one I took) to Boxee via airtime it starts playing right away. But, then it stops to update every few seconds and then after 2 or 3 of these updates it stops working all together. Is this how its always been ? I am an iphone newbie. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. And I appologize if this subject has already been discussed. Just post a link to the right direction and I will be on my way.
    Cheers,

What firmware are you running on your Boxee Box? Try on old one if you are running a 1.5 build. They suck!

I'd bet you would have much better luck with a 1.2 build.

I am running the newest firmware and everything else runs fine so I dont know if it may be better to leave well enough alone. Its not that important. I just gave airtime a try and thats what happened. I also went into the settings menu to make sure that I enabled streaming from an IOS device. I have also read that Boxee has a hard time streaming HD video via airtime. Does airtime go direct from the iphone to Boxee, or does it go thru my router first ? If so, could just be a weak signal issue.
    Thanx for the reply.

All traffic that goes to Boxee goes through your router first If you Boxee is connected wirelessly, that may be part of the issue.

    Also, it's AirPlay, not airtime

Oops, my bad. I knew it was Airplay but my fingers didn't get the memo.... I will move stuff around to get closer to the router. Can you tell me if Airplay usually works ok ? Or am I wasting my time, and yours. Thanx for the reply D.

It is an experimental feature (AirPlay isn't officially supported by anybody but Apple and only for Apple devices) but I have been able to listen to music and watch videos using it. However, if the Box has been idle for some amount of time, it might not show up as a target and require a reboot of the Box. I have also noticed issues on the iOS side where my iPhone or iPad will just stop showing the AirPlay button all together, requiring that they be rebooted...
