I dont have an Spotify account so i cannot tell you, but there is no app for it. I am sure that if you do it via the web browser it will work with no problems.

The browser is Chrome. It plays most of the flash content i have tried using a flash web service via adobe.com.

If you are cutting cable, you can just go to the websites providing the shows and play them. Yes, it would be nice if TV&Movies app would also show the websites as a source instead of just showing Netflix, Amazon VOD, etc.

No, spotify content is not available via the web. You have to run a Spotify app -- either on a computer, an iOS/android device, and/or a streamer that has an app for it.

tunewiki.com uses Spotify (via a flash widget/player) - haven't tested this on the GTV though and don't plan on it as Spotify requires a FB login.

For these players to work, you have to have the desktop app for spotify installed and running on the same "computer" that the browser is running on -- there is NO "web-only" access to spotfiy content.

Ok, I just tested, darci you are right once again. It needs the Spotify local "Desktop" Client after the widget loads once you click play.

sorry for not being entirely clear in the above post; click "play" on the "player" makes playback happen on the desktop spotify app and not through a stream from the web.

if you don't have spotify installed on the same computer/device, i'm 99% certain that you get prompted to install/signup for spotify (or similar) -- as one of my online, music-loving buddies discovered when i pointed him to http://sharemyplaylists.com to check out some playlists i had created there.

again, there is NO web-only access to spotify music. trust me on this.

Yup. Confirmed. I just thought the flash was playing it since it didn't load, it does still need the desktop client. I'm really digging the tunewiki integration with lyrics though. Yes I installed and signed in VIA FB...ewww.

Yeah, if you have Spotify installed, the online players are pretty nifty -- I hang out on sharemyplaylists.com quite a bit...

and the Spotify apps -- there are a ton of them now, and some very nice ones...
