Boxee wont launch

I am running boxee on my Linux Mint install (Felicia). After getting the package installled I try to launch it and it just drops out. I am using an Nvidia 5200 which I saw was compatible. Can anyone help?

I have tried a few other apps and I desperately want boxee to work!

Found it!
3. Compiz

Make sure Compiz visual effects is disabled. You can do this by going to System -> Preferences -> Appearance -> Visual Effects. Make sure "None" is selected.
