    Default Boxee Box intermittent bootup

I bought a Boxee Box second hand and really wish I had done the research beforehand. When it works, it's great but the vast majority of the time when I turn it on, the TV receives no signal.

I have reset settings from the Recovery menu, restored the default firmware and then allowed it to upgrade itself again to no avail.

A couple of times I've thought that I've got it sorted - I've booted it in recovery mode, and reset settings, and then rebooted, and it has started well. I will then use it for the evening, then I will shut it down (not sleep), then the next morning when I turn it on, we are back to no signal at all.

It is now in a state where it provides no signal, and I can't even seem to get it into recovery mode.

Does anyone have any suggestions how I might reset it, prior to selling it? I don't want to sell it to someone until I have confirmed that a base level reset is reliable. I have a feeling that I've lost my money, and just want to put this behind me and get a WD TV.

How is connected to your TV (via AVR or no? HDMI or ?)

What make/model TV (and AVR if in use)?

Is the Box wired or wireless?

P.S. Use the first link below to contact official Boxee support as well.

    Default Make and model details

It's a Samsung 40" with one HDMI port. My PVR's been working fine on that port and still does. I've tried it through my Onkyo AVR and also removed the AVR from the equation.

I've tried both wired and wireless. It still doesn't boot up. It's basically a brick now.

I'll try the official support link as well.
