Sounds like you've tried everything on the Boxee. How about checking the PC? Maybe something has changed on the PC that has affected Boxee's ability to connect to your shares.

The first thing to do is power of the Boxee Box, then reboot the PC, then power on the Box and see if that's any better.

Let me get this straight.... Two different boxes.... Both working fine with internet connections. Both accessing local media from ONE PC... . Both suddenly fail to access that media at the same time.

Umm, I'm sorry to have to say this, but it sounds like this issue has nothing to do with Boxee and everything to do with that PC and/or your local network.

This is truth. Issue seems to be with your windows.

sounds like hardware failure to me... additionally basements are terrible places for pc's and HDD's specifically.. every home i service where a customer is having problems with a pc in a basement 9/10 it's HDD failure, why? humidity. i suggest running an fsck or chkdsk or whatever filesystem check/repair utility that come with your OS to begin troubleshooting just as a starting point.
