    Default question about accesing local media on atv2

    i have a boxee box that i access local media from mostly dvd .iso rips from all stored on a passport external drive formated to ext4.. my question is will the apple tv 2 be able to do the same for me once it is jailbroken and i have XBMC installed on it?

    well actualy im just more interested in the the technical/ hardware support specs for the atv2. Having xbmc on the device is irrelevant like does it even support for the ability to play media locally from an external hdd? also this is the type of hdd that is reliant on power provided VIA usb. i only post this question here because this is the "boxee for appletv help" forum, figured some one might know. :/

    If I understand you, the answer is simply no, not possible. If you want that, get a 1st gen atv with a crystalhd running xbmc and boxee beta.
