Default Alternative operating system and uses for Boxee Box

Has anyone released a project that allows you to turn the boxee box into a linux server or something along those lines? It's hard to find info on google since boxee is a software too, it often is the only thing that comes up when search for "linux/debian/etc. on boxee box". Thanks!

Basically, you're asking of the Box has been "hacked" (or "jailbroken") to do anything other than run Boxee firmware and the answer is: not so far.
