Thread: Have to reboot my Boxee Box daily now...

Default Have to reboot my Boxee Box daily now...

I posted about this elsewhere but I think it was in the wrong place. I have looked all over for a solution but haven't found anything.

I have had my Boxee Box for over a year now and everything worked great until about a month ago. My setup is the same and nothing has been added/removed from my network. I can happily watch anything from my Windows 7 network shares. No problems at all. But now if my boxee is idle for a couple hours or longer and I come back and try and watch something off my network share it will just give me the never ending circle of nothingness. It won't crash the boxee. I can press the 'back' button on the remote and I can continue to browse around after it fails to play. I can go to the 'files' section and look at all my files/shares. But then if I try and play one I will get the same spinning wheel of doom. I also checked to see if I could watch anything off the internet when this happens and that works fine. Just the network shares get messed up it seems.

The easy fix is just rebooting the boxee. After it's restarted I can go back to watching anything with no problem at all. It's just super annoying to have to do so every single day. Especially considering I haven't had this problem over the last year or so.

Does anyone else have this problem? I suspect it might have been something automatically updated on my windows machine but honestly I have no clue?

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!

If you dump the log file (syslog), what is returned? Is it able to mount CIFS?
