Hangs only on boot

Hi.

I seem to have a problem unlike others.
9/10 times my boxee box hangs when i start it (either by remote or the button on it)
I see the grey-ish screen that says "loading" and it just sits there forever until i hold the power button on the device. Then it often starts like it should.

When im done with my BB i use the remove and navigate to shutdown and shut it down (not sleep). It shuts down like expected, but hangs on boot the next day.

It has yet to hang during playback, streaming or apps.

Attached to the boxee box there is a 2TB external AC powered harddrive (which powers down when idle long).

I have exactly the same issue. I'm on my second boxee box and this one has the same problem. Really frustrating. Anyone have any suggestions/fixes. Otherwise I think the second boxee will also be going back and I'll have to move to another streamer.

Just been playing around with it a bit this evening - I used to have to external HDD hanging off the Boxee box, it now boots fine when one or none are connected. Soon as I go back to two it hangs on the grey loading screen as before. Bizarre.

I have two Boxee's, old one which is hardware version A2 doesn't have the boot issue. I just bought a new Boxee which is hardware version B1, is having the "startup" hang issue on loading with HD's connected. Today bought a third Boxee version B1 also, still hangs. I'm testing with existing hard drives(seagate), which work OK on version A2.

Can you please post your Boxee Hardware version?

Same issue B1, as well. Doesn't seem to be only when a drive is connected. Returning I guess...

I have the some problem. About half the times of the boots my Boxee Box will get stukc at the grey 'loading' screen.

Exactly the same problem. 8/10 boot up never completes. Hangs at grey screen saying "loading". Boxee folks - should I return it?

Same here, as well. Looks to me like a firmware upgrade is in order.
