Copying photos, avi, divx files to appletv to view on boxee

I am running WinXP and can sftp to my ATV hard drive, but how/where do I copy the files (avi, divx, jpeg, etc.) and set up my boxee to see them? I'd like to simply copy over videos and photos (and slideshows) to ATV to view through boxee. I know I could stream from my PC using LAN but I don't want to have my PC on all the time. I simply want a way for my kids to watch some of their favorite shows and videos from my camcorder through boxee... preferably without even requiring access to the internet.

Is there a folder I can copy all this stuff to on my ATV hard drive and then access this folder and other subfolders so I can simply scroll through the items and select them through Boxee.

Any help appreciated.

sure you can add the files to the /Users/frontrow/Downloads/Boxee file for example and from boxee appletv version use settings>media sources>local sources> browse to the appropriate location and then add it as a source..

I can't find /Users/frontrow/Downloads on my Mac?

this location is just for AppleTV ..your Download folder on Mac is ~/Downloads/Boxee
