    Default Ripping Homemade DVD

    Hi all,

I have made a DVD with DVD-Lab Pro and burned it in a DVD-R (2,6 GB). Yesterday I purchased the Boxee Box, so I ripped this DVD with DVD Shrink and then used MagicISO to make it an iso file. When I try to see it Apears this error: "Playback error The media source or file is not accessible"

Does anybody knows what it means?

a really painless one stop shop for ripping a home movie to compressed xvid or something is AutoGK.

    Google it.

For what it's worth, I had downloaded and unpacked a blue ray movie to my hard drive, it was in the standard audio ts and video ts directory format. Boxee read it in that format just fine, didn't lose any on screen functionality. I expected to have to combine it to an AVI or some other format for it to work. Pleasantly surprised.

Unless you must have the menus, etc, how about just ripping it with makemkv? Otherwise, check this thread for best encoding advice: http://forums.boxee.tv/showthread.php?t=53172

Try ImgBurn, a very versatile app and it's free

    Okay,

With ImgBurn it became almost perfect.... It had just one problem with the menu... the picture became to small. There is any chance to correct it? or I have to remake the DVD for any reason?

I haven't used ImgBurn enough to answer your question - you might try remaking the DVD and see what happens -- if this doesn't help, later today I'll check out ImgBurn a little further to see if it has a way to fix your problem

Addition... you might PM aaronwt - I'm pretty sure he's quite familar with ImgBurn and may be able to help
