Default Seagate 3TB Not being seen at all

Hello all, I have just bought a new 3TB HDD (Seagate) and it is mains powered so I thought I could plug it straight in and watch all the films I have put on there.

I also have a 500GB WD HDD and that is USB powered and that is seen by the Boxee box

When I plug in the 3TB I do go to file sources to add it to the sources and when I go to local (for USB drives) all iI can see is the 500GB WD HDD

    I hope you can help

P.S. The 3TB came already formatted as NTFS

This is a known issue covered in the third section of the sticky post Known / Common Issues with the Boxee Box. That section also points to a thread with some work-arounds.

you have your hard drive formatted with 4012 bytes per sector that can not read the Boxee box.
In WD hard drives there is a tool where you can reformat the hard disk to 512 bytes per sector.
I do not know whether there is such a tool for Seagate drives
