Default Where does Boxee pull TV show information from?

Where exactly does Boxee pull information from for TV shows? I thought it was from theTVDB.com, but I have some stuff that doesn't seem to automagically identify on my BB that is available on thetvdb.com. I've checked naming conventions and I think it adheres to them correctly.

I know I can do it manually with an NFO file, but I was wondering how/where it pulls for automatic identification?

From it's own media data servers that are mashup of licensed data from the imdb.com and data from thetvdb.com and additional/manual corrections that they make themselves.

If there's a particular show that's not being identified well and automatically, you can report it to http://jira.boxee.tv -- they appear to be fixing up their media data servers.

Thanks, Darci....that explains why stuff that gets added to thetvdb is slow to get added to boxee....I guess maybe they only compile or update a couple of times a month...if it doesn't show up in another week or two, I'll file a ticket

Not sure if you meant to post on Jira but I can't access the Jira site from work. So I listed these below.

I have several that are still not being picked up by the Boxee and it has been over a month.

    Dallas (2012)

    Duck Dynasty
    http://thetvdb.com/?tab=series&id=256825&lid=7

American Digger (Boxee Picks it up as American Loggers but American Digger is not in the Identify List)
    http://thetvdb.com/?tab=series&id=256657&lid=7

    My Crazy Obsession
    http://thetvdb.com/?tab=series&id=256876&lid=7

    Road Cops

I think I have a couple others as well. I did try "Manual" identify but they are not in the list.

sure, if you don't want to use .nfo's and aren't in a big hurry. keep in mind also that either...

    A. you may have to submit a new ticket each week to get new eps added.
    or
    B. you'll have to manually id the new eps a few days after they air as boxee's servers won't always have the newest eps metadata updated on the air date.

I actually used an .nfo file with theTVDB id in it and it didn't work...then today it identified the episodes as being from the TV show BJ and The Bear...which it definitely is not.

What is the best way to get my NFO file to work properly? Should I remove id tag from the nfo file?
