Boxee won't recognize Amazon mp3s

I've tried google and a quick search of this forum and I don't see anyone else having this issue. Here is my problem:

I use SMB to connect to my windows machine with all my music/videos on it. Mp3 files from amazon will not play as they are. If I use foobar2000 to convert them to another lossy format such as m4a, they will play. If I browse for the file through boxee's file browser, the files do not even show up in the directories they are suppose to be in (other files like the album are are shown). These files will play on my computer with a number of different players. I have even tried resetting my boxee media database and to make it rescan all the files on my computer to no avail.

I am loving my boxee, but I detest having to convert music from one lossy format to another...

Any ideas on a fix or perhaps a log file I need to look at?

There's nothing special about Amazon mp3 files that Boxee can't play as-is -- I get the vast majority of my mp3 files from Amazon and the Box has zero problems with them.

It sounds like some kind of odd permissions issue if you use "File" browser from the Home Screen and can't see the actual mp3 files over SMB...

Yes that turned out to be the issue. I always forget to check permissions for the problem xD thank you.
