    Question Showing cover art ??

    Hi Guys,

    I just got the boxee a couple of days so i have some trouble to find my way out. Like all mediaplayers the Boxee has some weak and strong points. I guess showing a simple thumb picture cover art is one of them

    Of course I read the guide over here.

    I put all my movies on the D-link DNS-320 NAS in a folder called Videos and there all movies in their own folder.

    The (dutch) movie (for the youngsters) I put in an separate folder named: Tony.10.(2012)

    In that Folder I put the nfo file: Tony.10.(2012).nfo
    and the jpg file: Tony.10.jpg Tony 10thumb.jpg

    Here is the nfo file:

    <movie>
    <title>Tony 10</title>
    <rating>7.8</rating>
    <year>2012</year>
    <outline>Tony is bijna tien en heeft de beste vader van de wereld. Hij is apetrots op zijn vader die opklimt van kraanmachinist tot minister. Maar op een dag hebben zijn ouders een heftige ruzie en loopt zijn vader weg van huis. Tony denkt dat zijn vader verliefd is geworden op de koningin. Hij doet er alles aan om zijn ouders weer bij elkaar te krijgen en krijgt daarbij hulp van het koninklijk huis.</outline>

    <name>Faas Wijn</name>
    </actor>
    <actor>

    </actor>

    <name>Annet Malherbe</name>
    </actor>
    <actor>
    <name>Anna Drijver</name>
    </actor>
    </movie>
    Unfortunately the Boxee doesn't show the thumb cover art.

    What do I wrong?

    I'm not sure that the boxee box can read the pictures from the drive. Google image search for the right thumbnail you want to use and copy the URL from that picture into the "thumb" space:
    http://static.cinebel.be/img/movie/poster/full/1008964_nl_tony_10_1326202941528.jpg
    for an example

    I got it to fetch the picture from my Nas, so it is possibly, my code looks like this:

    <thumb>smb://NAS/Multimedia/Movies/American Pie II.tif</thumb>

    It seems to me that your missing the name of your Nas in that link, but other than that try and browse for the image on the boxee, and make sure it's the correct path for the image.

    The easiest way to do this if you have the movie in its own folder (which it seems you do) is to remove the thumb tag from the NFO file and rename the thumbnail image as folder.jpg. Boxee will automatically check for an image with that name if a movie is in its own folder. Also, after changing this, you will need to either clear the media database or remove and re-add the source as normal re-scans won't pick up changes to NFO or thumbnail files. Alternatively, renaming the folder that the movie is stored in would do the track and force Boxee to pick up the changes.
